Benefits:
_ On line and real time Total Organic Carbon (TOC) measurement
_ No requirements for membranes, reagents or gases
_ Easy operation and maintenance free
Features:
_ Simultaneous display of TOC, Resistivity or Conductivity and temperature.
_ User selectable 4-20mA analogue outputs and RS232 digital output
Principle of operation:
Inlet water sample is regulated and split into two paths. One path leads to by-pass where resistivity/conductivity and temperature are measured. The remaining sample water is oxidized after another conductivity and temperature measurement. The organics in the water sample convert to CO2, where a final conductivity measurement is taken. The CPU uses all measured values to determine the change in sample conductivity, which is proportional to the concentration of the CO2 produced. With this, it is able to index and calculate the change in conductivity ration before and after the oxidation to measure the Total Organic carbon.
